As is typical of the creative group at Playson, 40 Joker Staxx: 40 Lines is a pretty minimalist game. The graphics are sharp and bright, and despite being a little slow, the spins are nice and smooth. More importantly, players can wager up to $100 on every spin with an RTP of 96.5% and maximum payout of 1,600x – you’ve got a chance of pulling in a very respectable haul!
Don’t expect to be blown away by 40 Joker Staxx: 40 Lines, but it is good, quiet fun if that’s what you’re into!
Set in a dark room, with classic-style symbols and not a lot else going on, Joker Staxx is one of those old-fashioned games modern players tend to avoid.
Gameplay Overview & Symbols
With its glowing red background, the bright & shiny symbols and attractive buttons at the game’s base, you’d expect good things from 40 Joker Staxx: 40 Lines. And there are some! The highest-paying symbols are generous, and the Joker himself acts as the game’s wild. In fact, if you manage to land a full screen of Jokers, you’ll receive an astonishing 1,600x your stake – a jaw-droppingly high sum!
That’s essentially the end-goal if you’re playing Joker Staxx, since there isn’t a whole lot else going on. While the graphics are clean, the gameplay is generally not very gripping.
Unfortunately, this is slightly misleading section, as there are precisely zero special features or bonuses in this game. You can win 1,600x your stake on every spin as we’ve said (by building a big ‘ol wall of wilds) but otherwise it’s slim pickings.
Unfortunately, despite the capability of making top-tier slots, we again see a sub-par effort from Playson. The graphics are there, the payouts are there, but it’s the creativity and attempt to go further than the basics – that’s what’s missing. 40 Joker Staxx: 40 Lines is a perfectly acceptable game, but with a little more variety of personality, it could have been a superb one!
