Gameplay Overview & Symbols
Street Magic hits users with some visual trickery straight away, with a clever opening sequence. From there we hit the main game, and there’s plenty more of that to come! The slot centres around a sleight-of-hand card magician and his endless bag of tricks, and it’s genuinely very enjoyable to play.
Graphically the game isn’t anything special: a standard 5×4 reel set with simple symbol design and modest spin animations. All of the price/spin/settings buttons line the bottom of the slot, and and there’s an air of ‘functionality’. However this perception is transformed whenever you land a wild or otherwise activate the Magician: he appears on the screen shrouded in mystery, performing wicked tricks and upping the rewards for players!
The magician is the game’s scatter, but he also performs a variety of other tricks. When you land two scatters on the reels at once, you’ll receive one of the following bonuses:
- The Wild Shuffle – Four wild symbols are randomly allocated to the reels.
- The Expanding Man – The two scatters are transformed in a puff of smoke, and become fully-stacked wilds!
- The Transporting Man – Two becomes three, and the bonus round is triggered.
The base gameplay is, across the board, unpredictable and very enjoyable. Watch out, however, because it is also exceedingly volatile and could bankrupt you as easily as reward you!
As we said, there’s a bonus round which can be triggered by gathering all 3 bonus symbols across reels 1, 3, and 5. It’s pretty simple. Once you land all the bonus symbols, you select a card from the magician (of course) and it reveals how many free spins you’ve won: 8, 10 or 12. The strongest feature of this free spins round is that all wilds become sticky and remain in place until the final spin is over.
While it’s quite a simple addition to the base game, it makes all the difference. It’s possible to win up to 5,000x stake in this game, but the odds of major payouts are boosted substantially with the sticky wilds.
Street Magic is one of those easy-to-play games which could become a classic given enough time. Gameplay is super simple but enjoyable and fast, while the potential payouts are monstrous. If you’re not a fan of highly volatile games, then steer clear. If you live for the big one, then hit it hard!
